This Virtual Campus is based on the open-source software Moodle, an e-learning platform widely used by educational institutions, organisations and companies around the world. The website is hereinafter referred to interchangeably as: website, Virtual Campus or LMS (Learning Management System). The Virtual Campus is the property of SAUDI HTC.
Access to the content of this Virtual Campus (except for the home page and legal information) is restricted and users cannot register freely. Only users authorised by the site administrators can create an account and access the content and services provided.
Access to this Moodle-based website is exclusively through an authentication system that requires a username and password provided by SAUDI HTC to authorised Virtual Campus participants.
Access to this website is free of charge except for the cost of connection through the telecommunications network provided by the access provider contracted by users.
2. Acceptance
The use of this website confers the condition of the user and implies acceptance of all the conditions and terms of use included in this Legal Notice.
Users are recommended to carefully read this Legal Notice periodically, as the conditions of use of the same, contained in the aforementioned Notice, may undergo modifications.
Some services accessible to users through the Virtual Campus may be subject to specific conditions which, where applicable, will replace, complete and/or modify this Legal Notice and which must be accepted by the user before the corresponding service is provided.

3. Obligations of the registered user
To access the Virtual Campus, all members of the institution have a personal username and password.
Access to the Virtual Campus includes the use of the contents and services made available to its members, according to the specific profile assigned to each of them.
This access is personal, non-transferable, and individual. The user undertakes to keep his/her identification (password) secret and is responsible for any activity or misuse that a third party may carry out by means of this identification, with his/her consent or through negligence.
Actions carried out under a given password shall be deemed to have been carried out by its holder. The user undertakes to notify the loss of this identification or unauthorized access by third parties. The user also undertakes not to access or attempt to access areas to which he/she does not have access through his/her profile.
Good use and mutual respect between users
The user undertakes to use the contents and services of the Virtual Campus in a correct manner, in accordance with what is specified in current legislation, and avoiding any illicit action or any action that may harm the rights or interests of third parties.
All users undertake to observe a respectful attitude and language in communications with other users in both public and private spaces, and not to transmit or disseminate opinions or contents that are illegal, defamatory, offensive or that violate the values and dignity of persons. They
also undertake to maintain the confidentiality of the private communications they receive and not to make data obtained through distribution lists or through the public spaces of the Virtual Campus
available to third parties.
If any type of violation of current legislation or of the conditions of use is observed, the UB bodies must be notified so that the data can be checked and the inappropriate content can be modified or removed, as appropriate.
The conditions of access and use of this website are subject to the law in force and to the principles of good faith and lawful use by the user of this website. Any action to the detriment of SAUDI HTC and contrary to this Legal Notice is generally prohibited.
The user undertakes to use this service without engaging in activities that may be considered illicit or illegal, that infringe the rights of SAUDI HTC or third parties, or that may damage, disable, overload or deteriorate the website or prevent the normal use of the same by other users.
Prohibitions

Accuracy of personal data
Users are responsible for the veracity and updating of the information and personal data they provide, and for those that are included on the Virtual Campus. They also undertake to identify themselves and to avoid any confusion or doubt as to the authorship of the personal statements or opinions they express on the Campus.
Failure to comply with any of these prohibitions may result in the removal of the user's access and the initiation of legal action against the user.
4. Other user obligations
· Access to course information and resources on Moodle are controlled by user permissions. You should log into Moodle with your own user account and never allow another user to access Moodle under your network account.
· Some courses on Moodle may require and additional course-specific password (enrolment key) to gain access. Users should never disclose an enrolment key to anyone as it would allow access by an unauthorised user.
· You should never attempt to access any password protected Moodle area unless you are a member of the course and have been given permission to do so.
· Activities on Moodle are fully audited. Records are kept of when users access courses and resources along with a log of all communications such as forum posts, assignment submissions, etc. These records are available to lecturers for course evidence, but may also be used as a point of reference for any matters arising, such as accounts of harassment, bullying or the transmitting of inappropriate material.
· Users should not post personal or sensitive information to any part of Moodle including to their profile, blogs, or any course activities. Information sent through Moodle may be read by other Users.
· When course materials are placed onto Moodle, you acknowledge that you are making it available for download, and therefore the Website cannot guarantee that such resources will not be seen by/distributed to third parties.
· Users might provide links to websites on Moodle in the hope that they are useful. The content of these messages may originate outside the Website. The Website cannot accept any responsibility for the contents of external websites.
· Access to Moodle will be withdrawn when a User is no longer employed by/studying at the School. Please note that third parties may have limited access to Moodle.
5. Content obligations
· By uploading content to Moodle, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for ensuring that content does not infringe confidentiality, copyright or the intellectual property rights of others (including colleagues)
· You agree that you will not upload any material that would breach the Site Policies or add links to any web pages that host such material.
· All work submitted electronically by students should be their own. Copying other's work, cheating, collusion, plagiarism, and attempting to obtain unfair assessment advantages are in violation of the Site's Policies.
· Moodle courses should reflect current learning provisions. Moodle courses may be removed without warning if:
o The creator has not accessed the area since it was created;
o No resources and/or activities have been added to the course;
o The courses have no recent access by students.
· Where there is more than one contributor, you must use reasonable endeavours to work together to update Moodle. Please note that the Website does not accept any responsibility where changes are made without informing colleagues.
· Moodle contains documents created with a variety of software. Where possible we encourage you to upload resources in commonly used formats (such as Portable Document Format) to offer wider compatibility. We cannot support students with problems opening files externally if they are caused by incompatible software and/or hardware.
· Many files linked from Moodle (such as videos) are quite large and best viewed over the Website network. We cannot guarantee the quality of performance or be responsible for connection issues when downloading or streaming these materials externally.
· All information and works on Moodle are intended for the benefit of registered students.
· The copying, reproduction, circulation, and publishing of any information or work that has been uploaded to, or linked from, Moodle is prohibited without the express consent of the owner/s of the information or work. Without prejudice to any other rights or remedies, the owner/s of any information or work shall be entitled to equitable relief (including without limitation injunctive relief) in any instance of this term being breached.
Content user’s data
· Moodle is a platform for making files, resources, and activities available to students throughout their course. It should not be used as a general storage area. Files that are not required for the delivery of a course should be stored in your network area or on your own disks. Where collaboration is required between lecturers, then your network shared area or another collaborative tool such as Sharepoint should be used.
· All student data and submitted work are purged from the server at the end of the Course.
· It is recommended that you keep original copies of the work you upload onto Moodle. The Website accepts no liability for lost or corrupt data that has been stored on Moodle. Whilst the server is routinely backed up for the purposes of disaster recovery it is the responsibility of the user to ensure that they have copies of any important data, including uploaded resources, submitted assignments, etc.
6. Intellectual property
All the information contained on this website, as well as its graphic design and the codes used, are protected by copyright or other protective rights under the legislation in force in the country of the rights holder. These rights belong exclusively to SAUDI HTC, or its licensors, and therefore any act of reproduction, distribution, transformation or public communication, as well as any type of transfer, of all or part of the content of this site, and in general of any object which, according to current legislation, is protectable by intellectual property regulations, is expressly excluded.
All web content and all content available through the Holder's products and services including designs, text, graphics, images, video, information, applications, software, music, sound and other files, as well as their selection and arrangement (the "Content") are the exclusive property of the Holder or its licensors, with all rights reserved.
No part of the Site Content may be modified, copied, distributed, framed, reproduced, republished, downloaded, extracted, displayed, posted, transmitted or sold in any form or by any means, in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of the Owner. This campus manages two types of data: registered users and users interested in receiving more information.
The data collected through the contact channels will be processed for the purpose of managing possible doubts or queries, as well as sending specific information in relation to the user's request.
The provision of data through this channel is based on the consent of the data subject, which is voluntary, specific and informed.
The completion of the requested data is necessary in order to be able to proceed with the User's request.
Communication of data
The data collected by SAUDI HTC through its website will not be passed on to third parties.
However, SAUDI HTC is assisted by third-party service providers who have access to your personal data and who process the said data in the name and on behalf of SAUDI HTC as a result of their provision of services. How long will we keep your data?
The personal data provided through the Contact channel will be kept for the time necessary to fulfill the user's request or to provide the services contracted by the user.
